  • random thoughts on freedom, security and peace

    Is it paranoia when you know someone is out to get you?

    A person who seeks security will only find fear.

    Teach a person what it means to live in freedom, and the person will learn responsibility, respect and honor. Lead by example.The political leadership of our government has failed to lead. It's a grassroots effort now.

    After the recent break-in, a new lock was installed on the front door, the third one in three months. Measurements were taken on the windows and bars have been installed. If anyone should be living in a barred room with secure locks on the doors, it should be criminals and terrorists. Criminals should live in fear, not the people. Now where do we string up the concertina wire?

    I have heard it being said that the Constitution and the Bill of Rights are "not a suicide pact." Who was the treasonous piece of toiletpaper who came up with that line? The second amendment of the Bill of Rights is for a free people to defend their lives and families, their homes, their fellow Americans, their country, their sacred honor so that criminals will live in fear. The Bill of Rights is the government's guarantee that no one ever has to live in fear. The voices who cry for their abolishment must be held accountable for their treason. They have abondoned their sacred honor and duty to the American people. Though they have a heartbeat, they no more have life in freedom. Let them rot in fear. Security will never be theirs.

    Amendment I

    Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion,
    or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of
    speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to
    assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

    A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a
    free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be
    infringed.

    No soldier shall, in time of peace be quartered in any house,
    without the consent of the owner, nor in time of war, but in a manner
    to be prescribed by law.

    The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses,
    papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall
    not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause,
    supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place
    to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

    No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise
    infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a grand jury,
    except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the militia,
    when in actual service in time of war or public danger; nor shall any
    person be subject for the same offense to be twice put in jeopardy of
    life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a
    witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property,
    without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for
    public use, without just compensation.

    In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right
    to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the state and
    district wherein the crime shall have been committed, which district
    shall have been previously ascertained by law, and to be informed of
    the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the
    witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining
    witnesses in his favor, and to have the assistance of counsel for his
    defense.

    In suits at common law, where the value in controversy shall
    exceed twenty dollars, the right of trial by jury shall be preserved,
    and no fact tried by a jury, shall be otherwise reexamined in any court
    of the United States, than according to the rules of the common law.

    Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted.

    The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall
    not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.

    The powers not delegated to the United States by the
    Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the
    states respectively, or to the people.

    What part does the President of the United States, the Department of Homeland Security, Congress, and the Supreme Court of the United States, the FBI, the CIA, FEMA, and other federal, state and local government agencies and law enforcement personnel not understand?

    I'm a Libertarian. I get it. Do you?

  • Benjamin Franklin said that justice can never prevail until those unaffected by a crime are as enraged as the victims.
    The goverment was meant to be a union of the people in order to do those things individuals cannot. If our military does not, by its actions, send a message to terrorists that their actions will not be tolerated, this country will be overrun. I do not know a single person who would actually prefer to fight terrorists hand-against-gun in their own homes. Yet if they succeed in stopping military action and removing the people's right to bear arms, that is exactly what will happen. Without freedom to fight for one's country, we cannot retain our freedom to do anything else.
