Wound up for the holidays (kinda sorta)
Happy Hanukkah
Merry Christmas
Happy New YearIt was a nice, quiet holiday season for me. I liked it.
Starting in January, I am going to strive to write at least two posts a week. If I can make six posts a month, I will be satisfied. One post will be essay. One post will be poetry.
I don't read enough, either online or offline. For some reason I can't stay focused on reading like I used to. This has to change.
Also, I need to start making money from other sources. I'm tired of teaching in classrooms where the air is either too cold, resulting in sickness, or the kids are paying more attention to their computer games. I have ebooks available on a number of websites, but poetry doesn't sell well. Not like it used to. I need to try to write some short stories for a change, and maybe do it right enough to sell to a variety of markets.
I have a lot of pictures, but no clue as to whether or not there is a market for what I have.
Seems like my mind is wound up too tight in the wrong direction. Let's see what happens when it ticks the other way.
More later.

I admire your courage. I've never been brave enough to chuck my "real" job to rely on the words that come from my mind. That is just a little too close to "starving artist" than I want to get. Good luck to you and I wish you all the best in the New Year! I'll be looking forward to the increased number of posts!
I'm not chucking the job. I just want an income to have as backup in case I find myself unemployed for long periods of time.
May 2015 be a year of goodness for you.
two a week sounds do-able, I'll strive for that too. I've read more the last year than I've shared for sure, I guess that's not really fair is it? I would never shuck up my job though, I live in a town of less than a grand and jobs are few and far between, besides I love my boss, it's the first time in 55 years I can say that, however a second income sounds interesting, I've always wanted to be a bit more creative. Happy New Year to You - Good Luck in your endeavors!
