  • Paseo de Gracia

     Through Paseo de Gracia

I ride for my promised land

armed with love and a sabre

and pursued by a renegade band

    of ruffians and cutthroats

I once thought of as my friends

    weep not for me

for I know my time will end

Through this cloud of dust I ride

    pursuing my runaway dream

I could taste the blood of love denied

    and curse her wicked scheme

    as ruffians and cutthroats

I once thought of as my friends

    hunt me for my blood

I know my time will end

This silver stallion runs as free

as lighting upon the open range

carrying me to the end of liberty

and a place where love is strange

    as ruffians and cutthroats

I once thought of as my friends

    hunt me for my life

I know my time will end

In her arms I will breathe my last

as to death I finally surrender

My love for her will always last

even as we are torn asunder

    as ruffians and cutthroats

I once thought of as my friends

    take from me my life

at my place where time will end

But I am not dead yet,

and I have many miles to ride

You know in me what you can't forget

that there is one love never to be denied

    as ruffians and cutthroats

I once thought of as my friends

steal from me one more day

in a place where my time will end

    Through Paseo de Gracia

I ride for my promised land...

"There is a way that seems right to a man, but the way therein leads to death."

Religion is a path filled with many false hopes. If there is a false hope, then there must be one true hope to be found. If there are many distractions found in our society, then there must be one true attraction that is worth our attention.

God first created man in His image. We are by default God's. "Render unto God that which is God's." Man severed that relationship by disobeying God. With  the knowledge of good and evil, we have managed to sacrifice over 73 billion souls on the altar to Self. We make terrible deities. I have yet to meet a man who can speak the word and create a star, then fill the star system with life. Man is unworthy of godhood. Besides Lucifer, only the human race has the arrogance to try for it.

There are two numbers that need to be looked at.

    Seven

Seven is the number of completeness. The Sabbath, the sign of the most ancient and holy Father, is the seventh day of Creation, and is celebrated weekly to commemorate God's act of creating light and darkness, water, life, the human race. Through Jesus Christ, the faith He gives us is completed. He is the author and finisher of our faith. From Him comes love, and to Him love returns naturally. The Sabbath also recognizes Christ's recreative powers in transforming broken lives into something beautiful once again. Through Him, we go from sinner to saint. Canonization is irrelevant. In Jesus, I am a saint. I am sanctified. No man can do this for me. I cannot do it for myself. Only Jesus Christ can, and in this, I become a miracle. Looking for a sign and a wonder from God? I am that sign and I am that wonder. All I can do is point you to God who has redeemed me, sanctified me, and in Whom I share life. I am complete only in Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God who died for me.

    Six - Six - Six

This is, according to Revelation, the number of a man. John was given one revelation, and that revelation was of Jesus Christ. Revelation shows the story behind Seven, and reveals the fate of Six - Six - Six.

Six - Six - Six. It is a repeating decimal. It is never worked out to the final decimal point. It is the number of Man, the Rebel who seeks to become God and has set himself up as God. Some say it is the Roman Catholic system of worship, crowned with the glory of the Pope. I say it is any man-made religion that elevates man to the throne of heaven. These false religions of men have a price to be paid, and for all that is given to the religion, the ultimate cost paid is too much. How many babies and children have been sacrificed to false gods? How many wars have been fought in the name of self-appointed spokesmen for God, but who were nothing more than liars on the path to self-glorification? How much innocent blood is on the hands of self-appointed gods like Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot, and others?

Too often it is forgotten that the Whore of Babylon was once a virgin. Once she was pure, with the true gospel in her heart, and love motivating her every action. Her sell-out, which broke God's heart, was a long time in coming. The Whore of Babylon rose up on her pride, and forgot the love of her Betrothed. Am I speaking of one Christian church, or am I speaking of the entire human race? If you say I am speaking of the human race, then you are correct.

How many paths are there to heaven that are built by men? How many actually lead to heaven?

It is no wonder that Jesus Christ is the only name by which one may approach the Father, for Jesus Christ is God's only Son. Man cannot build the stairway to heaven. It is not for sell. Man is too small to reach God's throne, but God is powerful enough that it is no problem for Him to become a man. So closely associated to the human race is Jesus that He calls Himself the Son of Man. He is the only Man who can lead us to heaven, into the presence of the Father.

The Spirit of AntiChrist (in place of Christ, against Christ) denies that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and that God never became a human being. False religion denies Jesus Christ the love and the loyalty that is due Him. When there is no true God, all of the small-brained pretenders to the throne try to take over. Men would tear God from His throne... if they could reach it. One day God will give men that chance. Then sin will die.

Six - Six - Six is the way of a man. It is a religious path filled with many false hopes and has been paved by many false gods, men claiming to be god-kings like Pharaoh or Cesear, or even the Japanese emporer. It only leads to death.

"God's foolishness confounds the wisdom of men."

  • I don't come around as often as I should. The way my schedule has been for the last couple of terms, be glad I show up at all. I'm up at 4:30 in the morning so I can prepare for my 6:00 a.m. class, which is followed by classes at 7, 8, and 10. I get a six hour break. More classes from five until the religion class is over at nine.

Grrr - argh moments from the time I wake up until I get to bed, but I don't get to sleep until after 11 p.m. I'm a night owl. I love the darkness. I'm working at my lowest point, and that isn't always good.

I don't write as often as I should. I don't make it around to the blogs like I used to. It's a drag. Sometimes....

More pix are coming. I have a lot of images to wade through.

    Later...
