  • Beautiful! Is this where you live?

  • @BoulderChristina -

    I lived in South Korea for three years while serving as an English teacher. These pictures were taken in Seoul.

    I currently live in Thailand.

  • @BoulderChristina -

    I was blessed with the opportunity to go and teach. I am glad I went, and I miss it a lot. I hope to return to South Korea and do it again. Also, I have a couple of mountains that I have unresolved business with, and want to return and get it out of the way.

    But I do not miss the Korean winter with its Siberian winds.

  • I see South Korea as a great melange of tradition and cutting edge technology. North Korea would be the opposite.

  • wow! this is so beautiful!

    I was planning to go teach english in korea after the summer, but it seems God is leading me elsewhere...

    but one day!!! haha

  • @joooooooooooooo -

    always pray about it. teaching English in South Korea is a blast, and the students are pretty cool, if they are adult students. the junior classes are okay, but sometimes they wear on you.

    if God leads you elsewhere, then enjoy the ride. it will be a blast, no matter how it goes. always go where you are needed. as for the dangers, well, they are a part of the calling. God leads. God knows the end from the beginning. all He wants from us is faithfulness to the end. the reward comes cheap enough, and the struggles we have now will seem like a dream once we are in His presence. be faithful, and no matter what, remain thankful. give thanks and smile.

  • Thank you for stopping by and subbing to me! Will do the same. I love your pictures. So beautiful. These dancers all look so delicate. I think I need to take lessons from them. lol

  • @VallejoGirl -

    Thanks. :)

    @monobeam -

    The colors of 'hanbok,' Korean traditional clothing, are incredible. I rank the Japanese kimono at number two.

  • I saw a troop  come through in DC.  The traditional  custumes are beautiful aren't they.  I was standing  next to the coreographer and  he talked to me about the meanings behind the steps and different costumes and color schemes.
